Year Zero

Random thoughts while in the shower… I wonder if it would make more sense to teach children history by starting with the current year and work backward?  

I know it sounds crazy and half-baked, even to me, but start with painting a picture of the current world for them and when they ask, why is this & why is that, you can say… well this is that came before, and before that, and before that.  Give everything in history context, in relation to the world we live in now.

Not the first crazy idea I’ve had.  Won’t be the last.
