| GARGOYLE: 9"x12" - Acrylic, ink on bristol board
I did this piece originally, in order to compare the difference between when I draw loose and sketchy as opposed to something tight and controlled. This is the loose one. I'll add the tight one at some point (It's buried under a pile of sketches somewhere), but I think I'll always gravitate toward the messy stuff. It's not really a fair comparision because I changed the anatomy and various details on the tight one. It's practically a completely different image. It's hard for me to get the same level of spontinaity into a tightly rendered piece of art as I do when I just fire it out. |
